Shri. Gulabrao Deokar College of Engineering formerly known as Shri. Sureshdada Jain College of Engineering Jalgaon established in July 1999 under the aegis of Shrikrishna Educational & Cultural Mandal, founded by President Shri. Appasaheb Gulabraoji Deokar (Minister of State, Agriculture & Transport Minister, Maharashtra) in Jalgaon with an aim to provide higher quality technical education and greater opportunities to aspiring students of the region. The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi vide a Letter No. 740-89-345(A/I) ET / 99, Dated 23-07-1999, recognized by Govt of Maharahstra vide letter PEC-2099/(336-99), TE-1 Dated 28-7-1999. Affiliated by North Maharashtra University, awarded by N.A.A.C. Re-Accrediated 'B' (CGPA 2.88) Grade Varsity Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India.
The Institute is awarded ISO-9001-2000 by Australian orgenization "International Standards Certifications Pvt. Ltd.".

Jalgaon is a major district place in Khandesh region of Maharahstra state of India. It is a junction station situated on Mumbai-Nagpur, Mumbai-Delhi railway line bifurcating rail lines to Surat. The national highway No. 6 is passing through the Jalgaon City and World famous Ajanta & Ellora caves are in the vicinity of Jalgaon city. The college is located at 4 Kms from Jalgaon railway station and 3 Kms from Jalgaon central bus stand. The city buses for Shirsoli are available to approach the college at a frequency of about 30 minutes or tempo rickshaws are continuously running from near to city bus stand. Infrastructure of our college is spread up over 10.5 acres of land situated among calm & quiet mountains, surrounded by lush greenery in a peaceful environment.
